Say someone told you right now if you do x,y,and z I will give you 1 million dollars. You would do x, y, and z.... especially if they are things you KNOW you can do.
And yes, I am telling you to be cocky and have confidence because confidence will take you further than anything else.
To all of my ItWorks brothers and sisters (or anyone in direct selling), you MUST be confident, in yourself first and then the products or services. Let's picture it this way. Say you are the potential and someone is trying to sell you a lifeboat that they aren't sure will save your life. It's very obvious this person is not confident in the product and based on this lack of confidence, you say "No thank you" to purchasing with them because of the lack of confidence they have in the product or themselves, you want a lifeboat that works. About a week later someone comes to tell you about a lifeboat and they KNOW this is the best lifeboat on the market so they make you believe the same, turns out its the same boat, but person B had much more confidence in the product based on his knowledge and experience with the product, he was able to get you to TRUST him.
When you sell a product, service, or even yourself (services) understand that people watch you. The posture, the attitude, the enthusiasm, the confidence. If you appear that you are afraid or unsure the product will work or you are unsure the business will make money, yes others will doubt you. You must believe it yourself and that must show. The confidence in your product and business must show at all times, you have to think that your product is better than anything else out there, and believe it and be cocky about it! Then believe that you can sign up the person, go in there with the intention of closing and nothing else in your mind. The confidence that show will help you establish a connection with the person. Use a stern voice, not mean but sound like you cannot be moved and you KNOW you state facts. Use eye contact and make sure you allow them to see you are not moving from your position and where you are standing your ground.
If you begin to practice some simple techniques you will appear to have more confidence which will give you more confidence, fake it til you make it. Be knowledgeable of your product and business and people will listen to you because you are teaching them. Practice your presentation if you must but don't be afraid, take action, start talking to new people and keep trying your approach, if it works that's perfect, if it doesn't try another approach. BUT be confident and it doesn't matter if you fail BUT don't continue to doubt yourself and your abilities, you can do just as well as an ambassador, just have the confidence you can and will do it! People will begin to see that, they will start to wonder what you have going on here.
