So yea this happened! I'm freaking out because this pic on the left came up in my memories this morning on Facebook! A year ago today I posted the photo on the left of my Mohawk ponytail that was completely bone straight and I announced that I was starting my Hair•Skin•Nails challenge! I have always wanted to grow out my Mohawk ponytail but keep my shaved sides (I like this style, it's ME and my husband agrees lol).
But anyway.... The photo on the right was taken this morning after I took down my attempt at a beautiful twistout that failed lol. Sometimes my Mohawk limits what I can do with my natural hair but it's ok, I LOVE how it's growing and it's healthy!!
Back in my school days I went thru different levels with my hair and I was young with beautiful hair and I didn't want to keep it. I was a tom-boy and I didn't like doing it, I didn't like having my hair pulled on and etc so I got it cut super short in 4th grade and since then I had started relaxers which lead to breakage all the time! It didn't matter how it started to grow I would have to cut it because it was damaged by heat or chemicals. So I started a NO HEAT CHALLENGE a couple months ago and restarted my vitamins and the growth has been crazy AND my skin has been getting better and better!
i have been working with several different methods for heatless curls and I have fallen in love with the FINGER COIL METHOD.
Since I am now totally natural AND my hair is long enough for some cool styles I decided to start a discussion group to meet Twice a month on Facebook via Facebook Live discussion forum! I have opened it up to some of my closest naturalistas and we are excited about this week's episode! We give tips on how you can have super healthy hair and lovely long locs without chemicals! With all natural oils, methods and more!! This event is called "On Being Natural" and I would love to invite you to join us! This Thursday evening LIVE on Facebook with more tips, tricks, reviews, laughs, tutorials and MORE!
