Today's quote is a good one! Being lost can seem a little overwhelming and scary. When you are lost you can slip into depression because things aren't right and you feel alone.
Trust me I know because I have been there. I have suffered from clinical depression and PTSD and what I learned was that it was all a part of a TEST. See I am a strong individual BUT I didn't realize how strong I was so as it began to grow in Christ I began to understand that the reason I experiences so much hurt and pain was so that I could unserstand the strength that I had inside of me. I was able to see that I was important and even if I wasn't important to the entire world there were some people that I meant something to.
When Brian had his aneurysm we were all alone. We only had one friend come to visit us for about ten minutes during his whole recovery process. Our "best friends" couldn't even call is to check on us or say hello. In that time Brian and I learned A LOT. And the number one thing we learned is that God allows things to happen so that you can open your eyes! We now know that those "friends" aren't friends at all and most of them we no longer even talk to anymore and haven't been missing in our lives at all.
We began to find ourselves as each other's confidant and best friend. We began to learn that things weren't the way that they used to and like a damaged tree that you want to beat fruit we had to cut back the branches on a few things and a few people in order to continue pressing forward.
God has a funny way of teaching is a lesson when he needs to and I for one have discovered that everytime we are in the shade fighting these battles, the picture is much bigger than that. He wants us to learn something thru the trial, he wants us to grow stronger and higher after we have cut back all the weeds that would choke our flower's growth! 🙌
Today, take a situation that was meant to tear you down and use it to build yourself back up! YOU CAN DO IT! God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.
