Claim Power Over Your Mind
The answer is simple, you GET what you FOCUS ON. Seriously, lets think about it for a minute, if I asked you, what are you happy about? Focus on that for a moment... NOW, I want you to focus on something that makes you sad or uncomfortable.
Did you have a problem thinking about what makes you happy vs what can make you sad? Your mood, you vibe, your everything can change in a matter of seconds, based on what you FOCUS on and if we focus on negativity, that is what we will FEEL.
I am definitely on of those people who feel EVERYTHING happens for a reason and I certainly look for the lesson in each and everything that happens to me, because there is always something we can take away from it, a lesson. Always ask yourself in negative situations
1. What can I learn from this?
2. How can I successfully overcome this challenge?
If we look at each situation as a learning experience, it can help us to see visually a positive outcome, So for example if we miss the bus, or maybe miss our plane to go on vacation, we could easily be frustrated and allow it to change our mood from excited and happy to upset and disappointed, but its all about what we choose to focus on, in this situation we could focus on the negative (missing the bus or train) or we can focus on the positive (either way I'm about to go on vacation so let me relax and enjoy some quiet time or read a book).
A couple weeks ago we discussed Mindfulness and the idea that we must be mindful of what we have going on at all times, because this will help our mind focus. Your mind id more powerful than anything in this world. This is why things like meditation are so awesome because it helps us teach our mind to FOCUS and block out all distractions even if only for just a few minutes, it helps us to live in the moment instead of allowing fear of the future or anxiety of the past to take over.
John 4:4- But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the spirit that lives in you is greater than the spirit that lives in the world.
God gave us so much power and continues to give us power, over our enemies, over our fears, doubts, overall, God gives us power over our mind, but if we doubt it and we cant hold on to faith, then it all falls apart, When you have a thought, you also have a choice of which emotions come with that thought. Will they be good emotions of happiness. Because what we focus on is how we feel.
I used to allow each and every frustration to bother me and change my mood, not anymore, I am almost always happy, NOT because my life is perfect and without flaws, BUT because i CHOOSE each and everyday to think positively, to be excited about life and where I am and where I will be going, because I know my steps are ordered.
If I asked you what your definition of REALITY is, what would you say? Did you realize what you perceive is what is REAL. This explains why and how two people can go thru the same experience and have different outcomes, one person may be feeling GREAT about what happened and the other may feel TERRIBLE as a result, it all comes down to how its perceived. Your perspective, can change your life. Its about how you see yourself and what action you take to design the life you wanted.
I began my journey with ItWorks a little over 3 years ago. Many of the people I started with, have given up. Why? Because of their perception. Where they saw a challenge, a struggle, I saw an opportunity, a door. Where they saw defeat, I saw a lesson. When fear came up, I decided that it was worth MORE To keep going, instead of shrinking back, because I needed to change my reality, I needed to change my life and I couldn't do that if the way I looked at things was in a negative light. Along the way, I had to keep reminding myself to stay positive and that it was all a part of the journey and I was ready for it!

Always pause an ask yourself a few empowering questions because this can help build your confidence, whatever you ask of yourself you will give an answer, this is our self talk and your self talk determines whether you are happy or sad.
What if you were given a time stamp of when your life will end, would you live differently? Would you take more chances? Would you have more fun, would you be FEARLESS in living your life? Most likely, yes you would, because you know you are running out of time and you want to make the best of it. We all should live each day like this, as if its our last, because each day we are losing time, time we cant get back, we cannot continue to live as if tomorrow will never come, but that its coming and we are going to make the best of TODAY! This week, focus on having FUN, remember what its like to live a happy, carefree life, like we did when we were kids. Think positively and be aware of your thoughts and how they make you happy!
