One thing that keeps me on my game is PLANNING! Now prior to the beginning of this year that more so looked like just a list of things I wanted to do each day, I would make my list first thing in the morning as soon as I woke up, right in bed and the same time and same place every day sonit became a habit! NOW I have recently upgraded to using the Happy Planner and I use one for work, one for my family bills, events, and meal planning and shopping. This helps me keep things in some sort of order.
Yeaaaaa so yes I plan and I will continue to plan daily BUT as a mom of 3 little ones I KNOW that chances are things may not go as planned and I used to STRESS about it super bad and was hard on myself for NOT getting things done and NOW I just know and understand that is how it will be sometimes and I have allowed myself to be less than perfect because LIFE happens!
3. When plans don't go as planned be flexible and do not allow it to ruin your day!
Mom so this one is CRITICAL! When we realize things WONT alwas go as planned we develop a peace about hinges BUT just because here is a bump in the road DOES NOT mean I throw away my whole list of things to do for the day I simply adjust accordingly and get to the list of things to do when I can and take my time marking off what I can OFTEN things are simply moved to a new day or a new time.
4. Find Apps!!!
Yup I said it! lol I'm 33 but I'm quickly learning that it's time to DIFITIZE whenever I can and I always have my phone with me but the cool thing is things are usually saved to "the cloud" these days so I won't ever have to worry about losing anything! There are a few apps I use as a mom and my daily ones are google calendar to track what I do with my time so it's not wasted and I use acuity scheduling to set up calls. Meetings and appointments for my business and block out family time if I need to do that prospects can schedule around it! And last but not least I REALLY love the 30/30 app where I can time my cleaning, cooking, fun and office hours! I am ALWAYS looking for ways to improve productivity so please comment your FAVORITE productivity hacks and/or apps!
5. Take breaks to enjoy your little ones!
After all they are the reason you wanted to work from home to begin with! When you are overwhelmed or frustrated take some time to enjoy your beautiful babies!! That always gives me the juice a quick 30 min break to play and then I know why I have to get back to work because those babies deserve the best and mommy will give it to them!!
